Missing Lancaster, OH Man Returns Home Nearly A Month Later
Mark Johnson of Lancaster, OH was reported missing on November 27th following a fire that destroyed his home. Johnson’s two children were with family members at the time of the fire. Vehicles in the yard had been parked away from the house. Remains discovered in the home were determined to be those of a goat.
Yesterday afternoon his attorney, Norman J. Ogilvie Jr., announced Johnson’s return to Fairfield County. According to reports Johnson was in Florida. In a statement provided by his attorney, Johnson thanked friends and the community for their outpouring of concern, support, and prayers. Johnson says he is going through some personal matters.
“I am going through some personal matters that I cannot discuss further at this time. I needed to get away for a little while, but I never intended to cause worry or pain to my friends and family, and I hope you will all understand that.”
Johnson’s family and friends are just happy to have him home safe and sound.
Meanwhile the cause of the fire at Johnson’s home is still under investigation. Authorities say they will need to talk to Johnson stating that he “obviously holds valuable information about the possible cause of the fire and the circumstances of his disappearance.”
